Combined Social Business Session - London #e20s - 2 July 2014
Details
Purpose
To provide a regular forum where we can share ideas, experiences and models for helping organisations become more social. And, in doing so, create new connections that lead to community. This will be the third meetup supported by Kongress Media and Agile Elephant that incorporates #e20s and London Wiki Wednesdays. Because of the constraints of the venue, this event will start and finish a little earlier than usual.
This edition is sponsored by IBM - we would like to thank Jon Machtynger their CTO Collaboration Solutions for UK and Ireland for arranging the venue, the speakers and for supporting our group.
NOTE: Space will be limited this time, so book early to be sure of a place.
Really important
This is not a social media marketing event. We will not be talking about Facebook, Twitter etc. This is about organisational culture, structure, social collaboration and internal technologies and approaches - and yes, even business economics and ROI. We'll be discussing social business, open business, enterprise 2.0 and the future of the workplace.
Participants
We welcome people from a diverse range of backgrounds: practitioners, academics, consultants, researchers, do-ers from businesses and organisations of any size.

Presenters
Chris Withers, Head of Smarter Commerce for the IBM Software Group on IBM Watson, their cognitive technology that processes information more like a human than a computer - by understanding natural language, generating hypotheses based on evidence and learning as it goes.
Our good friend Jon Mell, Social Leader at IBM UK will give a 5 minute talk on how IBM support Wimbledon - the event will be on at the All England Club. IBM captures the score and social media reactions and then use highly trained tennis analysts to provide realtime statistics and updates to media, commentators and transmits it around the grounds and across the World to millions of mobile devices.
You! - add a comment below to add your 5 minute talk - agenda sequence taken from the date/time of your post.
