Let's picnic & watch the Blue Angels Sail250 Air Show
Fort McHenry, 2400 East Fort Avenue, Baltimore, MD, USThe Sail250 Baltimore Air Show this year will include:
- U.S. Navy Blue Angels
- U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team
- British Royal Air Force Red Arrows
- French Air & Space Force Patrouille de France
- and possibly more...Fort McHenry is the perfect place to watch (it's basically on the 50 yard line). Let's get together and picnic on the park grounds, then watch the airshow.
We'll start the picnic at 11:30 am. The air show will start sometime after noon, and end before 4 pm. After the air show, I plan to bus or walk to the Inner Harbor to see the Sail250 festival. Anyone is welcome to join me if they like.
Bring: water, snacks, discreet libations, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, picnic blanket or chair, optional ear plugs.
Note the road to the Fort is closed to traffic this weekend, but there's a free shuttle. For directions, see below.
Note there are restrooms in the Visitors Center, which is about a 7 minute walk (1/3 mile) from where we plan to picnic and watch the air show.
