This is a social group for fully Covid-vaccinated, mature women in the area of Gilroy, San Martin, and Morgan Hill. Our activities include small-group game nights, dining, field trips, nature walks, picnics, occasional craft experience, occasional weekend travel events, and other social experiences members wish to host.
We have entered the days of Covid awareness. It will be with us for a while. Consequently, we want to know with whom we are meeting with assurance that our friends are observing CDC recommended Covid protocols. Members may be asked to show their vaccination record to join. If this is too obtrusive for you, we wish you well but this group is not for you.
So what are the CDC recommended Covid protocols? On April 2, 2021, the CDC published this:
Fully vaccinated people can:
1. Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing. 2. Visit with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing. 3. Refrain from quarantine and testing following a known exposure if asymptomatic. 4. Resume domestic travel and refrain from testing before or after travel or self-quarantine after travel. 5. Refrain from testing before leaving the United States for international travel (unless required by the destination) and refrain from self-quarantine after arriving back in the United States.
For now, fully vaccinated people should continue to:
1. Take precautions in public like wearing a well-fitted mask and physical distancing. 2. Wear masks, practice physical distancing, and adhere to other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people who are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease or who have an unvaccinated household member who is at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease. 3. Wear masks, maintain physical distance, and practice other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people from multiple households. 4. Avoid medium- and large-sized in-person gatherings. 5. Get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. 6. Follow guidance issued by individual employers. 7. Follow CDC and health department travel requirements and recommendations.
