Data visualization is one of the most powerful communications tools. But for many, learning how to translate and express information in creative ways is a challenge. Join us for a special evening at the Museum of American Finance to tour the history of data visualization, learn techniques you can use today, and try tools to tackle tomorrow.
The evening will feature:
• David J. Cowen, President of the Museum, who will unlock the museum’s vault to show us financial documents from the country’s founding that have rarely been seen over the past 200 years. Everyone’s welcome to use Facebook Live to share what you’re seeing real-time!
• Nick DeSantis, Editorial Graphics Producer, Forbes, who will talk about the best and worst practices for telling multimedia stories using data.
• Chris Kerns, VP of Research at Spredfast, will share how data viz can help you tell stronger stories about the emotions, locations, and people behind the data.
