On February 2nd, inmates from James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, Delaware took three correctional officers hostage demanding better conditions and stop abuse by violent prison guards.

Early Thursday, the siege ended after police breached the building and rescued a female staff member who was not injured. The police claimed that they found the correctional officer dead.

These are two audio recordings sent by an inmate from James T. Vaughn Correctional Center who is serving A 94-year sentence describing the conditions inside the prison.

See this beautifully made short film and then discuss local Prisoner Solidarity Committee organizing plans.
