Hi Nattalia, thank you so much for the newsletter, that's going to be an awesome celebration.
I really liked the title "Remembering our past, tracing our future; the Brazilian contribution to Chicago”
Very powerful, it gives so much room for new ideas, impressive.
Let me ask you a question, Are you the founder of this organization? Are you a 501C non-profit, give me a call when you have a chance.
Hope we can work on a strategy to raise funds as you promote your ideas for the brazilian Casa da Cultura. At no cost for Casa da Cultura.
How do you raise funds for your events?
Let's talk about it. Please give me a call or let me know the best time to call you.
Again, simply awesome, congrats.

CELEBRASIL 2011
“Remembering our past, tracing our future; the Brazilian contribution to Chicago”
on Wednesday September 7th 6 - 10 pm at Texas de Brazil, 51 E. Ohio

CeleBrasil (www.celebrasil.org) will serve as the perfect platform to acknowledge and pay tribute to the first Brazilian immigrants who paved the way and created the foundation to make Casa de Cultura Brasileira a needed addition to the cultural landscape while showcasing for the city of Chicago, the current vibrant brazilian community.
We specifically selected the day of the gala to coincide with Brazil’s independence as a way to engrave in the minds of professionals, businesses and culture aficionados in the city of Chicago, the contribution that Brazilians have made to the city in the areas of entertainment, culinary, business exchange and education.

This gala is the first of a series of signature events of Casa de Cultura Brasileira(CCB),  the complementary non-profit organization founded as a result of the steady success and growth of Brazil in Chicago, a premier Portuguese language and Brazilian culture school in existence since 2006. Marcelo, the founder of Casa de Cultura Brasileira started CCB  because he is passionate about bringing Brazil closer to Chicago and wanted to make learning Portuguese and Brazilian Cultural focused events more accessible to the everyone without putting the financial burden on the students in the ways of high tuitions for classes. Since its opens its doors, Brazil in Chicago has served over 650 students mostly comprised of working professionals, Brazilian expatriates and Brazilian families. The school  continues to grow at an average rate of 40 percent per year for the last four years.  Classes offered range from beginner to advanced, Portuguese for Spanish speakers, Brazilian History and Portuguese for kids. Our plan with  Casa de Cultura Brasileira is to be able to build a larger curriculum and reach a wider audience.

Yours truly,

Pat
Committtee Chair and Board member
