All of us want a job that is meaningful and fulfilling. But in reality, we often feel trapped at work and remain unsatisfied after years of working. A lot of us struggle to know what we truly want and end up doing things that we may not truly enjoy.

Drawing insights from Stoicism and Existential psychology, we explore the root causes of our dissatisfaction and discover ways we can better understand ourselves and navigate through career decisions.

SPEAKERS:
Massimo Pigliucci is the K.D. Irani Professor of Philosophy at City College and Professor of Philosophy at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He is also the co-host of Rationally Speaking Podcast and author of ten books, including How to Be a Stoic and The Stoic Guide to a Happy Life. His TED talk, Stoicism as a Philosophy for an Ordinary Life has gathered over one million views.

Evonne Phoo is a clinical psychologist and Head of Department at HELP University. She is also the chair of the International Conference for Existential-Humanistic Psychology that features luminaries in the field of existential psychology, international affiliations and partnerships which sought to bridge both Eastern and Western perspectives on what it means to live meaningfully.

Bashir Bashardoost is a licensed professional counsellor and psychotherapist. He is also a lecturer at the Department of Psychology, HELP University and a member of The Kuala Lumpur Psychoanalytic Group (KLPG), a hub that explores mental well-being through the psychoanalytic lens. He often works with clients using the psychoanalytic and existential framework.
