Subject: [Socrates-Cafe-Louisville] This Coming Monday - Deadly Medicine Exhibit

Hi folks.

We're NOT meeting at the Zen Tea House this coming Monday!!! Those of you who attended our last meeting may recall that Brian recommended touring the Deadly Medicine Exhibit at U of L's Kornhauser Health Sciences Library. I'd like to do this for our next meeting, the 25th. This is the only time we'll have to do it since the exhibit closes on January 31st.

The exhibit "examines the role the pre-war German medical community played in the Holocaust". You can find out more here.

I'm still working on the logistics but here's what we've got so far:

At 7:00 Monday evening, we'll meet on the first floor in the vending room (where they have some vending machines and tables). Once you're in the lobby, the vending room is off to the left. We'll go through the exhibit (which is on the 2nd floor) and then return to the vending room and hold the discussion. I don't now yet if we'll be joined by a library rep to lead the discussion - hopefully, I'll find out tomorrow.

The Kornhauser Library is open until 11:00 so we'll have plenty of time (although our meeting won't extend past 9:00). Directions are here. I've never been there, so I don't know anything about how difficult it is to find a place to park or how much walking is involved. You may want to plan to arrive a little early.

If you have any questions, just send out an email to the group.
