Pre-conference meetup before "CoDers who Test"
There is a conference "CoDers who Test" in Göteborg on 15th May and this meetup is a warmup for that conference. Two of the speakers (Emily Bache and Samuel Ytterbrink) will do a talk and exercise on the theme of the conference, Testing and Continuous Delivery, and how that relates to Software Craftmanship. More information about the conference is available here: https://www.code-conf.com/2018/coders-who-test/ At this meetup, Samuel and Emily will speak about "Six Significant Practices of Continuous Delivery". We will also do a hands-on exercise. Continuous Delivery is about delivering updates to your software reliably, frequently and with high quality. It turns out there are six technical practices that are statistically significantly correlated with success. In this talk we'll go through what the research says works, and what these significant practices are. Praqma will sponsor the meetup with food & drink. Agenda: 17:45 mingle & food 18:15 welcome & introductions 18:30 "Six Significant Practices of Continuous Delivery" 19:00 short break 19:15 Hands-on Exercise 20:30 close of meeting

We talk the talk, but it's time that we start walking the walk. Let's start with monthly meetings with hands-on workshops in test-driven development and working with legacy code.

    The Software Craftmanship Manifesto:

As aspiring Software Craftsmen we are raising the bar of professional software development by practicing it and helping others learn the craft. Through this work we have come to value:

Not only working software, but also well-crafted software
Not only responding to change, but also steadily adding value
Not only individuals and interactions, but also a community of professionals
Not only customer collaboration, but also productive partnerships

That is, in pursuit of the items on the left we have found the items on the right to be indispensable. ( http://manifesto.softwarecraftsmanship.org/ )
