OVERVIEW
There are many scripting languages that have developed in the last 40 years and continue to do so.

FOCUS
In this 2-hours long discussion/workshop, we discuss about

• what role do scripting languages play
• the sociology of scripting
• how to think and learn a scripting language
• what to spot first about a scripting language
• when and for what purpose should you use a scripting language
• when not to use a scripting language and instead use C++, Java, Swift etc.
• Engineering challenges with scripting languages
• Nature of software defects/bugs seen while programming

We will also survey the following scripting languages during our discussion/workshop
