• What we'll do
This time, David Völkel from Codecentric will show us 'Fake It Outside-In TDD', a new methodology that he has been refining since more than a year. He says:
"„London School TDD“ favors Outside-In Design to avoid over-engineered design (YAGNI) and to aid the choice of which test to implement next.
In this session I will present an alternative approach to Outside-In TDD that has the same objectives but uses fake data instead of mocking. Starting from the assertions of the acceptance tests, fake data drives the design and changes into code structures further down the call-stack. This approach makes it easy to progress in 'Baby Steps', to stay in the 'green' cycle and to refactor."
• What to bring
We will try out this new concept in form of a code kata as well. Please bring your own Laptops with your favorite development environment!
• Important to know
This session will be held in English.
