This is a Brooklyn sangha of lay meditation practitioners in the Buddhist Vajrayana lineage of Dharma Ocean (Chökyi Gyatso). Dharma Ocean is dedicated to the practice, study and preservation of the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the Kagyu/Nyingma practice lineage he embodied, as passed down through the practitioner and scholar, Dr. Reginald Ray. This sangha gathers to practice the bodywork and meditation presented by Dr. Ray, who was one of Trungpa Rinpoche's first students in North America. More information about Dharma Ocean can be found at www.dharmaocean.org.

The three night retreat, from October 1 to 4, will provide a unique opportunity to connect directly with Reggie Ray through Livestream teachings and allow for us to relax into group practice within the peaceful setting of Dharmakaya Center in the Shawangunk Mountains while maintaining safe physical distance.
We are asking people to kindly register or contact us with your interest before September 15. Registration will be limited to between 10 and 15 participants to ensure proper distancing. The center has social distancing and cleaning protocols in place. You can view their precautions for coronavirus on their website. If you cannot attend the entire time or have any specific concerns, do not hesitate to be in touch with us.
The retreat falls in the middle of the Dharma Ocean online course Awakening the Body. This residential retreat is intended to complement the course, although enrollment in the course or prior experience is not expected. We also invite you to consider joining the course, which begins September 15, whether or not you are joining us for retreat.
