Harmony sing along of popular songs from the 60s and 70s

Finally, a chance to sing together well known songs of the 60s & 70's.

Sung in a song circle fashion, each person picks a song from a songbook of popular songs from this era, (see below) upon which our talented guitarist(s) will lead us through the verses.  Afterwards, we move to the next person in the circle and repeat!

Fun, lots of opportunity to sing your heart out to songs you long to sing.

Here's a little bit about the organizers:

David Burdick

David has been playing the guitar since 16. Has sung in choirs in Europe and Denmark and very interested in creating opportunity for community to gather and sing well loved songs.

Ted Kaye

Ted plays banjo and guitar, and loves singing harmony. He lives in NW Portland and leads a couple of music circles. His first inspirations were the New Christy Minstrels.

Linda Brice

Linda is a life-long singer of many styles of music but having been born is the mid 50's and having grown up playing acoustical and electric guitar my heart is really centered in acoustic folk. She also started Transformational Voice Institute and teach how to find one's authentic voice.

That was so fun! I felt very comfortable trying out new harmony possibilities without ever feeling judged when I fell short of my goal(hah!) One must ride that old learning curve, eh?
Thanks everyone for creating such a supportive and cheerful environment. Looking forward to next time.

Wow! Pete was right. Get a group together and the harmony sounds are amazing! Nice balance of songs. I've got some new ones to learn.
