Night Sky Photography Talk – This free in person event is aimed at anyone who is interested in taking wonderful pictures of the night sky.

In this presentation Jeremy will show images of space he has taken from his back garden in Streatham Hill and across the world.

Take a journey through the Cosmos featuring the moon, nebulas, supernovas and distant galaxies 30 million light years away. The mix will also include photographs combining epic landscapes with the Milky Way. Accompanied on his photography missions by astro-dog Cosmo, Jeremy is a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and will be happy to answer questions about how you can take your own images of space, even on the smallest budget.

Jeremy is interested in astrophotography as an art form that intersects with science and technology. His images are created purely using light gathered through his lenses. Nothing else is added.

When he was 10 years old his father bought him a small refractor telescope. Staying up well past his bedtime he looked through the eyepiece and was blown away by the sight of Jupiter with its giant storm cloud and moons. Then he pointed his scope towards Saturn and could actually see its magnificent rings. He was hooked.
A few decades later he feels just as excited photographing the wonders of the universe.
