Sara Strother is an avid student of yoga, a lover of fresh produce, a crafter, nature enthusiast, a wife and a mother. Her adamantine drive and zest for life have been saturating yoga classes since 1999. Teaching Hatha yoga has been a full-time commitment for Sara since 2004. Her first certification is through The White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. She also was a diligent student of the Anusara system and was fully certified in 2010. Continually Sara seeks education to better serve her students. Her primary teachers are Noah Maze, Sianna Sherman and Darren Rhodes. Although Anusara is the yoga style Sara connects with most, she prefers a non-dogmatic approach. She has freely dabbled in many styles and sees the benefit to experiencing different disciplines. Her style could be described as mindful vinyasa. Preserving the authenticity of yoga as well as honoring the Tantras, Sara’s classes are a woven tapestry of opportunities to enjoy life and deepen our connection to it. Expect a balanced class with considerable attention to alignment. Sara is known for her poetic integration of asana and yoga philosophy. As a Chicago ambassador for Manduka and a featured teacher on Yogavibes.com, teaching yoga is a deep passion she continues to refine. Feel free to view her website or contact her at www.abalancedpractice.com.
