Meet Author Susan M Conrad, solo Alaska paddler!

Susan will be our guest Thursday, October 4th for a leisurely afternoon paddle in Norwalk harbor from 4-5:30, and supper and slide show starting around 7 pm.
Susan's book, "Inside: One Woman's Journey Through the Inside Passage," is an account of her 1300 mile solo trip in 2010. After reading her inspiring tale last year, I was thrilled to meet her in person on the West Coast this May. When she told me she'd be visiting her Mom in upstate NY this fall, I invited her to detour to Norwalk.
Please join me in welcoming Susan to Long Island Sound and environs!
To cover Susan's travel expenses to our area, we're asking for $15/person. Please RSVP by October 1.

• Those paddling with Susan need to arrive promptly by 3:30 pm for a 3 minute drive to the launch area.
• Supper guests, I will have a main dish (chicken), vegan dish, wine, seltzer, hot tea and homemade cookies.
• Susan will have door prizes, and copies of her excellent book available for purchase & signing (or bring your own copy to get it autographed).
