Effective Altruism Basics

On Friday, April 28 at 7pm, South Bay Effective Altruism (SBEA) will be having our first public meetup. We'll do introductions then split off into small groups for a guided discussion on the basics of the Effective Altruism (EA) movement.

The discussion will cover topics such as:

• What is EA?

• What cause areas do Effective Altruists focus on and why?

• What cause areas do YOU feel most compelled by?

You are welcome regardless of your familiarity with Effective Altruism. We need people who are familiar with Effective Altruism available to answer questions for newcomers.
