What we're about

Also known as Earth Mama Meetup Night, we are dedicated to raising awareness about climate change and environmental issues, building community with like-minded women, and empowering one another to take action to protect our planet for future generations. If you feel concerned about what’s happening to our planet but aren’t sure what you can do to make a difference, this group is for you! We plan to get together roughly once a month to either watch a documentary or to have other awareness-raising or action-oriented activities.

Protect Coyote Valley Rally

San Jose City Hall

The San Jose City Council is bringing the future of North Coyote Valley to a special study session. Now is the time to stand together for Coyote Valley as the council considers public purchase of land with up to $50 million of proceeds generated by Measure T bond funding. In November 2017, the Protect Coyote Valley Initiative was launched and nearly 5,000 people have signed the petition calling for the protection and restoration of the Coyote Valley region. Let’s celebrate our incredible community and demonstrate the widespread community support for this irreplaceable resource. Signage will be provided. We will rally outside of City Hall and walk into council chambers together at 1:30pm with our Protect Coyote Valley signs and stand together for the first 20 minutes of the session. Press will be invited to the event. Bring an umbrella if there is a light rain; downpour cancels the rally.
