Luis has over seventeen years of Enterprise IT with experience in Management, Pro Services Consulting, Security Architecture, and Security Engineering. The last ten years have been laser focused on Security Incident Response, Security Architecture, Vulnerability Management, Data Classification, Phishing and Threat Intelligence. He has been securing the ‘front lines’ of the production environment, protecting critical infrastructure, gathering threat intelligence and implementing best of breed technology for start-ups as well as Fortune 100 organizations. With humble beginnings as a Tier II Support Engineer at a Wireless Internet Service Provider, to making it all the way up as a Senior Global Cyber Security Engineer at Hewlett-Packard and finally landing at the World’s Best Company, Securonix, as Senior Sales Engineer!
Speaker 2 (OWASP): Topic- Threat Modeling 101
This talk will focus on the basics of threat modeling of software and infrastructure systems. We will go over the STRIDE methodology with a practical emphasis on using a collaborative interactive approach to determining residual risk.
Speaker Bio: Ray Artz
Ray holds several security certifications and has been working in the Information Security field for over 20 years. His past positions include security engineer, IT Auditor consultant, software engineer, firewall administrator, and other technical positions.
He currently works in a security architecture group at a large corporation where he regularly reviews the security architecture of software and infrastructure systems.
