Monthly SFOUG Meeting

This Meetup will be hosted by Ultimate Software in Weston who will be doing a presentation to show how they install Openstack. They will be running through some of their architecture, how they currently consume Openstack and, by request, how they run Windows on Openstack as well.

The presentation will cover:

• The build of a compute using MaaS This might take too long. We can try and jump in right at the beginning and let it run.

• Simple architecture (Network/Storage/Compute/Object)

• Creating a user in swift for glance

• Leave one controller vacant and run our internal playbooks on it.

• Verify environment

• Start the installation of Openstack

• Login to controller to show containers being created.

• Boot Windows and Linux instances to show basic functionality

• Run through how Openstack is used in US.

• Time permitting add new compute to fabric. (From server being MaaSed)
