MTTA Mountain Cabin Snowshoe and Ski Trip
A group of my friends and I have hit these huts/cabins up a couple times a winter for the last three years or so and we have a great time every time (skimtta.org ). We'd love to take you along. This one is to the Yurt. It is $15/night and these things are super comfortable. You can ski or snowshoe in. Most are a pretty good hike...but once you are there you can be super lazy and cozy if you like. One of our favorite things to do is just hang out and cook great food. Last year we made homemade ice cream and I'm pretty sure that is likely to become a tradition. ;) Hike Details 5.0 miles with 1,800′ of elevation gain from upper sno park 6.0 miles with 2,400′ of elevation gain from lower sno park The last two miles are essentially downhill depending on the route taken. I think there is an easier route that would result in a lower overall elevation gain. Unfortunately they are almost impossible to book during the weekends. You do NOT have to stay both nights. You are welcome to come only one. This is the smallest of the venues and I believe max's out at 6 people so I have limited the RSVP list to 8 as I have three in my party already. That will give us a bit of a waitlist...I also wouldn't feel terrible if we brought extra people. We have a limited amount of extra gear if you don't have everything you might need...or we can direct you where to get it. Feel free to ask questions!

What we're about

Public Group

We are a group of friendly South Sounders who are looking to expand our circle of friends while going to new places and exploring events in our/other areas of the Puget Sound. If you are new in town and would like to meet some of your new neighbors for the first time, or your life is too much work and no play, even if you have lived here your whole life and would like to meet more people, then why not give us a try. Our group is for everyone in their 20's & 30's (and now 40's). Let's face it...40 is the new 30...at least...for anyone who finds themselves in their 30's all of a sudden. ;)

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a dating group although we may have related activities time to time. Please do not solicit any members for any such related activity unless the other party has expressed a prior interest explicitly.
