Let's get together for affordable activities for anyone over 50 in the southern end of the Gold Coast, Australia. This includes anywhere from Tallebudgera down to venues in northern NSW.
BBQs, dining out, seeing a show, sharing a drink, listening and dancing to live music, movies, day trips or just meeting for coffee.
We could also get together for walks, some fitness if you're an early bird. This group was started to bring people together and to make new friends. It is hoped that the group share interests in many areas and members form friendships. If you're new to the area come along join us. It is always good to expand your circle of friends.
We love meeting new faces and look forward to seeing your current face on your submitted photograph.
Please bring along a sense of humour and a positive attitude to life.
Our Meetup group is not set up as a dating site and therefore any members either male or female sending unsolicited requests to other members via the site may be banned from the site.
Once you have joined let us know what you're interested in by posting ideas and comments and discussions. Your ideas, input, and feedback are important in the planning of other group activities, so please participate. I don't yet know many of you and your preferences, so really need help in planning activities.
Also, if there's something you wish to go to, please suggest it as an activity. Maybe you will get some company and have fun with others from our group. Alternatively, email me and let me know what you would like to do and I will put it up as a scheduled activity.
Thanks so much for joining, we are looking forward to meeting you all.
A gold coin donation ($2) is payable at all meetups to help cover cost to run this group thank you
Please post pics from our meetups and write reviews it helps to attract new members to our group.
Important: If you RSVP yes to a meetup and you have 3 no-shows you will be removed from our group. It's only fair as the organiser is constantly look for members to turn up at a venue if they have replied yes.
If you have a change of plans please just rsvp no. No explanations or excuse is necessary, but it is important to at least show us the courtesy of saying No, then we won't be worrying about you being late etc. In particular, if there is a waitlist for that event, others will get the chance to go.
Remember we are about meeting socially, good conversation, fun, laughter and shared interests and the making of new friends. Look forward to meeting you all!
