What's a closure? Come learn what a closure is, why they're important, some closure gotchas and how to use self invoking anonymous functions. We'll have an exercise for you to try so you can put your skills to the test!

About the presenters:

Chasen Le Hara (@chasenlehara) has a decade’s worth of experience as a web developer and is a core contributor to DoneJS. He currently works as a developer advocate for Bitovi, a JavaScript consulting company known for making great web apps for Walmart and other high-profile companies he can’t talk about.

Liz Tom (@lizzletom) has been building web applications for three years and loves working with JavaScript. She is currently a JavaScript developer for Bitovi.
