We are a group of players that hold a weekly “pick-up” game at the UCONN Avery Point Pool in Groton CT. Every Sunday evening. Doors open at 6:00pm
Game time 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Players of all levels are welcome to participate.
Great aqua-conditioning sport. Gloves and sticks are provided for beginners.
The group was started in 1980 by navy divers led by Norm Tetrault. Once a year there is a “CT State Underwater Hockey Championship” for the Norm Tetrault Memorial Trophy named in his honor.The group now consists of mostly recreational divers, spearfisherman, swimmers, and sport enthusiasts that find it to be a fun and effective way to stay in shape during the winter months.
