Originally our organization was founded in May of 1970, We're a fun group of cyclists that want to make new friends.
Join us for lots of organized rides, socials, adventures and fitness events.
Any level of cyclist is welcome. Join us if you are new in town, love to ride, just beginning to ride or just want to have fun!

Some of us take our riding seriously. Some of us take our post-ride beverage seriously. Truly, everyone is welcome - singles, couples, great riders, beginner riders………

Every ride will have a designated ride leader to help newcomers.

In addition to Meetup, Cyclists may sign up for a free SBL eNews letter at www.BikeSBL.org. We are making our Southern Bicycle League Electronic Magazine available to this group too.

You may wish to become a full member of the largest and oldest cycling organization in Georgia. We have been around for over 40 years. We have over 1200 followers on Facebook, 14,000 registered users of our web site. We support and promote bicycle advocacy and cycling programs in Georgia and the Southeast. We have the most extensive cycling calendar for weekly rides and special events such as century rides and Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) events. We have organized and promoted the Wilson 100, the longest running bicycle century ride in Georgia for 40 years. In 2012 we resurrected the Covington Century. We will have more discounts programs available for our full members.

Monthly Saturday Arabia Mountain Ride

Stonecrest Library

This is a hilly, challenging course and there will be two options available. For those who cherish the challenge, a ride from Stonecrest Library to the
Monastery of the Holy Spirit provides a robust 38-mile round-trip ride. For those wanting to put in a little less time and energy, a 22-25 mile ride will return to the start from Lake Alexander.

Come ride the beautiful, very hilly Arabia-Panola Mountain trail. This is a somewhat technical concrete path from Stonecrest Library (parking, bathrooms-water fountain) to Lake Alexander (≈11 Miles), where we regroup and, for those who choose to continue, another 8 hilly miles to the Conyers Monastery. Bathrooms are available at strategic points.

This is a beautiful, mostly remote area. Come prepared with water, snack bars, spare tube, pump, and tire irons, just in case.

All riders are required to wear helmets.

Ride will be canceled if course is deemed unduly wet.
