BALD EAGLES, MIGRATING BIRDS AND WILDLIFE WORKSHOP IN THE KLAMATH NATIONAL WILDLIFE RESERVE ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8 TO MONDAY 11, 2019. MORE PHOTOS: You can see more photos from previous Bald Eagle workshops by clicking on the link below: >>> IMPORTANT >>> Hotels in Klamath Falls are already almost full during February so, if you want to attend this workshop, I recommend that you reserve your hotel room as soon as possible. If you reserved your room through, check the cancellation policy - for most hotels you cancel up to 48 hours before. Every year, in February, the largest number of Bald Eagles in the continental United States, gathers in the area around the Klamath Wildlife Reserve to feast on the vast numbers of migrating birds. In this workshop, we will lead you to some of the best areas in which to capture amazing images of Eagles, Tundra Swans, Snow Geese and ducks. DATES: Friday, February 8, 2019 to Monday, February 11, 2019. LOCATION: Klamath National Wildlife Reserve SCHEDULE: Leave from your location early on Friday morning and drive directly to the Wildlife Reserve for Check In, Orientation and some late afternoon shooting. Since this a long drive, you can also check into flying to Klamath. On Saturday and Sunday, we will return to the Refuge for early morning images of eagles and wildlife in a variety of locations. There will also be some sunset photography on both evenings. WILDLIFE INSTRUCTION: We will cover a lot of important tips and information about how to create great wildlife images as well as providing personal help with setting up your camera and composing your images. DEPARTURE TIMES: For those who are able to travel on Friday morning, we will be leaving early in order to arrive in time for some late day bird photography and a sunset shoot. NOTE: If you need to wait until after work to leave, you can meet us on Saturday morning. CAR POOLING: We will help with setting up car pools to save on travel costs. When you reserve your space, be sure to tell us if you are interested in car pooling and what city you are coming from. We will try to find spaces for those who want to be passengers but we cannot insure a ride for those who do not want to drive. You should be prepared to drive if necessary. For drivers, we recommend that passengers pay all the cost of gas and bridge tolls. HOTELS: We will be staying in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Hotel prices are very reasonable in this area. Room Sharing: For those who want to share a room, you can post a message on the message board. EARLY BIRD PRICE: $125.00 (not including hotels, meals or cost of travel). The price will increase to $175.00 on January 3, 2019. Workshop Size: 10 photographers. This is an amazing time of the year to visit the reserve and we would love to have you join us.
