Are you new to Clojure? New to programming? Please share your background!

I've been programming hobby projects and tools using Clojure for 2-3 years now. I learned Lisp a long time ago, but as I've been using Clojure I see now that the Lisp I used to write wasn't particularly functional. I've never managed to get paid for writing Lisp, though it always seemed like that would be great. My day-to-day work is in C++ with some Java -- and now, on occasion, some Clojure.

What would you like to get out of this group? Anything else you wish to share?

It would be interesting to meet folks using Clojure and find out what they are using it for. It would be nice to know people (in addition to people on the net) with whom I might be able to share information about what works and what doesn't work, what's new and what's still to come.

I work on network servers (DHCP) in Boxboro, MA I use Clojure for some tools around the edges of my job.
