The March full moon is called the worm moon because the ground begins to soften and earthworm casts reappear, inviting the return of robins. This has also been called the Sap Moon, as it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins. Well on Crane Creek we probably won’t be seeing many worms, and we don’t have maple trees, at least of the syrup varieties. What we do have is an awesome Creek that is perfect for watching the moon rise over the river.
Rentals are of course available.
