Space Exploration from Telescope to Colonization

Dear Space Explorers,

Our next event is a presentation about space exploration and space travel. We will try to answer questions like - How did we start our quest to explore space and where are we now? What are the possibilities for the near and distant future?

We will discuss the following:

1: A brief history of mankind's quest to explore space.

2: Current missions and developments.

3: The near future - educated guesses about where we'll be within 30 to 100 years.

4: The distant future - what is potentially possible to achieve from the sci-fi movies?

5: The very distant future - Where will humanity be in a few millennia?

The presentation will be held in the Venture Cafe (http://vencaf.nl/), right next to the Rotterdam Central Station.
