Women only: Let's meet up for public speaking, confidence work and networking

Our meeting will be held in the beautiful White Room of Hotel Grande Royal. The hotel is a few seconds from Hyde Park, and just 2 minutes from Queensway tube station on the Central Line, close to Bayswater on the Circle and District Line, and served by many bus routes.

Please note, the meeting will be £10 in advance or £15 on the door. Ticket numbers will be limited and tickets are also on sale elsewhere, so to avoid disappointment make sure you purchase your ticket early.

Speak Up Like A DIVA is delighted to welcome our guest speaker, and fellow quiet girl, Jay Surti. Jay is a presentation expert and TEDx speaker. A former litigation lawyer, she now helps professionals transform their presentations, ensuring they engage with their audience and get their message across.

On the night we will be giving you frameworks for how to create short off-the-cuff speeches. Have you ever felt at a loss for words when your boss or clients ask you to provide a brief presentation at short notice? Do you feel awkward speaking to a group of people about an experience you had? Do you hate sharing stories because you find it hard to structure the information in a compelling way?

If so, you need to be there at the meeting!

Some of you will have the opportunity to stand up and speak to the entire group (but only if you feel confident enough - we won't force any of you...promise!!) And there will be plenty of time to try out what you've learned in pairs or small groups.

The last part of the evening will be reserved for structured networking. We really hope you'll make some new friends at the meeting! There is also a cute theatre-style bar in the hotel. If any of you would like to extend the evening you are more than welcome to pop in there for a drink or a cup of tea after we're done!
