What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
Attendees will participate in a speakers mastermind roundtable session led by professional speaker and speaker trainers, George Gilbert & Al Jensen. As an attendee, YOU will determine the topics and discussion. We'll take any topic, and question and will hold nothing back. Attendees will be expected to share their thoughts, experiences and insights as well. We intend to create a network of speakers dedicated to growing and being a part of a supportive network. Want to talk about creating an introduction for your speech? Speech opening options? Storytelling? Why is a One-Sheet important? Where does one find speaking gigs? Why are the Cleveland Browns disappointing season after season?? We'll discuss any topic you desire. There is NO CHARGE for this "FREE-VIEW" lunch and learn session, so, you'll need to bring your own lunch. We'll open the doors at 11:30 for networking and begin the roundtable at 12 noon. We'll continue the mastermind session until 1 PM and conclude with networking and Q&A until 1:30 pm when it's time to head back out into the world and put your newfound ideas to work! Again - YOU are in charge of the topics we discuss at this event. We want to make this a "give back" session. Our way of providing mentoring at a very reasonable price (You can't get more reasonable than "free", eh?) Seats are limited, so RSVP now. We'll see you at the Lunch & Learn event! Please RSVP and come visit us. We look forward to meeting you!
Speakers and Leaders of Summerlin (SLS) Toastmasters Club is a great place to network and learn to improve your speaking and leadership skills in a 90 minute meeting from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM each Wednesday. PLEASE NOTE: Although you may see a small number of RSVP's on this Meetup notice, we typically have from 15-20+ people attending our event each week. Most who are regular members do not RSVP here. We do meet every week (with exception for some holiday conflicts), so please don't let the number of RSVP's influence your decision to attend. SLS is a modest size Toastmasters club with approximately 18 - 24 participants attending each week. If you want to improve your speaking skills, you'll have ample opportunity to get on the agenda as often as you wish. One of the secrets to improving your speaking skills is to speak as often as possible, and learn from both your successes and mistakes. The Toastmasters club program includes positive and supportive evaluations at each meeting, so you'll get immediate feedback on what you did well and what you might want to work on for the next time you speak in front of a group. We meet in the rear meeting room of the Egg Works in Summerlin. Come to the rear meeting room to find us. Doors open approximately 11:45 AM and the meeting starts promptly at noon. The full Egg Works menu is available during the program. (Egg Works expects attendees to order a meal to continue allowing us to use the room gratis.) There is no cost or obligation to visit our club. Please RSVP and come visit us. We won't make you speak in front of the group unless you want to. We look forward to meeting you!

The purpose of the Las Vegas Speakers Clubs is to create a community where you can 1) Sharpen your speaking skills, 2) Grow your biz and 3) Make some great connections and partnerships. YOUR SPEAKING TOPIC We encourage everyone to speak at these meetings... for at least a minute. (However, you are never forced to do anything that you don't want to do!) The purpose of your speaking can be anything you choose... You can speak about your business, a story, a part of your signature speech, anything that you want...it is your time to share. BUT...If you wanted a couple of topic choices to get the creativity flowing....here is what we suggest: 1. What you do 2. What you are passionate about 3. A Turning Point in your life 4. A story of inspiration 5. A story of motivation. Again...you can speak on anything you like and we are excited to hear from you. **Speeches will be broad casted live on Facebook** This will allow even more exposure to our speakers and allow you to build an online presence for more opportunities to potential business relationships. If you would prefer to not be shown on social media, please let me know. Members have priority to speak in 3 minute or 5 minute spotlight speaking spots. One member will have the opportunity to speak for up to 15 minutes! Guests will have the opportunity to speak for 1 minute in our speed speaking session. If you would like to apply for one of the 3, 5 or 15 minute speaking spots, please send an e-mail request to [masked], with Speaking Request in the subject line. Please include your name and phone number so we can contact you to discuss your request. Time: The doors open at 1:00 PM for networking and completing our "get to know your colleagues" exercise. The program will start at 1:00 pm and goes until 4:00pm We will also feature a Speakers Mastermind Roundtable session as part of the agenda. This session is always a member favorite! Cost: If you are a first or second time visitor the event is FREE. After your first two visits, if you are interested in becoming a member it is only $249 for the entire year and you get a host of extra benefits. We'll tell you about the membership benefits at the event! Please RSVP here (on Meetup). We want to make sure we have plenty of seats available for attendees! We look forward to seeing you soon.
