Spirit Dance: Ecstatic Transformational Dance in San Diego

Details

“In the uninhibited moments of the dance we begin to express from our deepest origins of creativity, freedom and wholeness” Cathleen C.

Spirit Dance is a meditation technique that combines spontaneous movement with sound, breath and spirituality. It centers your awareness into your body, into the moment, into the now.
This practice puts body wisdom, emotional reality and self-inquiry into motion. We release tension and let go of negative emotions.

Spirit Dance is an excellent relaxing full body exercise. Shake it out!

Join us to breathe, feel, connect and express...exactly as you are.
Come and do the dance that only you can do, underneath the masks and stories that we all wear. Shake off the layers of identity and move and be moved into authentic shining beingness.... into grace.

Everything is welcomed and nothing is required.

The dance is only lightly guided and sometimes not at all. We gather briefly in the beginning to create a space of safety and resonance; and then we listen. We listen deeply to the wisdom of our bodies and we move with everything we are.

We gather again at close, as a tribe, in sharing.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. We prefer no heavy perfumes or scents in the space.

Sliding Scale donation $10-$20

“Immerse yourself in the rapture of music. You know what you love. Go there. Tend to each note, each chord, Rising up from silence and dissolving again. Vibration draws us into the spacious resonance of the heart. The body becomes light as the sky. And you; One with the Great Musician, who is even now singing us into existence.”

(Excerpt from the Radiance Sutras)
