the pace is 2.75 to 3 miles an hour. if you need to rest a lot uphills that may not be for you, but if you love nature and want to join with others who do go for it! We always wait at junctions and put safety above speed.
We will also be hiking with, the sea to mountain hiking meetup group as well. This will be a joint venture. We will probably get 10 to 15 people total. I don't expect more. please make sure that you are used to a cardio work out and can hike 15 miles.

This hike is 14.5 miles that makes some steep climbs (total hike climb: 2500 feet) through dense forest up Inverness Ridge. We will have some dramatic views along the coast as we make our way down to Wildcat beach for lunch. Then continue back to the trailhead by climbing back up to the ridge and back down to the parking lot.

A Pt. Reyes trailmap can be found at:

http://www.nps.gov/pore/planyourvisit/upload/map_trailssouth.pdf

This is our loop route if you like to look at where we will be going:

We head out from the We head out from the Five Brooks trail head to the Olema Valley Trail, Bolema trail, Alemea trail, Old out road, Coast to wildcat camp, back on Greenpicker and down Stewart.
It will be a BLAST!! It's rating is strenuous...mostly due to the distance. Plan for a full day!
