One of the most verbalized spiritual practices I remember Dr. Hawkins speaking about is "To be kind and loving, towards everything and everyone, including oneself, at all times, in all places, no matter what!". This may sound simple enough but as some of you have learned it may be one of the most difficult, yet rewarding, spiritual practices.

The ego thrives on negativity. It thrives on hate, envy, pride, guilt, etc. To choose to be "kind and loving towards everything and everyone" takes away a large part of what keeps the "ego" going in our lives. If one practices this dictum, it will soon transform the ego from an unruly child to one's servant.

What I really like about this practice is that it leads to an even greater realization that "All is God and worthy of respect and reverence". That isn't easy to see from our dualistic ego-minds but I wouldn't be surprised if someone says to me that they realized that simply by "being kind and loving towards all of life".

A few beautiful quotes about Love from Dr. David R. Hawkins (Dissolving the ego, Realizing the Self):

"To understand the nature of God, it is necessary only to know the nature of love itself. To truly know love is to know and understand God, and to know God is to understand love."

"The love of God is absolute and unconditional. The sky does not 'be' for some people and 'not be' for others, nor does the sun shine on only a select few who have been arbitrarily chosen. God is complete and total."

"The experience of the Presence of God is available and within at all times, but it awaits choice. That choice is made only by surrendering everything other than peace and love to God. In return, the Divinity of the Self is autonomously revealed as ever present but not experienced-- that's because it has been ignored or forgotten, or one has chosen otherwise."

"The chances of becoming enlightened are now more than one thousand times greater than at any time in the past, which means that reaching the level of Unconditional Love (calibration 540) is a very attainable and practical goal. From the level of Unconditional Love, the pathway is increasingly joyful."

May we be blessed with Peace, Love, and Truth as we spend this evening together in holy company. We usually go out to dinner afterward so bring your spiritual and physical hunger. There is a 10$ suggested donation to cover space rental and meetup fees. No one is turned away. Gloria in excelsus Deo!
