Ongoing Class: A Course in Miracles
Ongoing Class. Every Monday Except Holidays. Also Wednesday Evenings 7-8:30 p.m. Ongoing Class. Join anytime. No need to pre-register. You are welcome to just show up. Every Monday at 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (Except Holidays) Love Offering Appreciated. A Course in Miracles (also referred to as ACIM or the Course) is a book scribed and edited by Helen Schucman, with portions transcribed and edited by William Thetford, containing a curriculum to bring about what it calls a "spiritual transformation". It states that everything involving time, space, and perception is illusory. It presents a nondualism which states that God is the only truth and reality: perfect, unchanging, unchangeable, extending only love, though not in time and space, which can not really be comprehended from a dualistic perspective. The theory further states that all life as we perceive it is actually one life (because God has only one son, sometimes called the collective sonship), dreaming of separation and fragmentation. It claims that eternity is outside time and space and that this dream never occurred in reality and is "already over", though not the (illusory) perception.

What we're about

We are a community of spiritual, metaphysical, new age seekers with diverse religious/non-religious backgrounds seeking to grow in our ability to live authentically from the "inside out" (meaning we seek to follow our individual heart and soul callings) rather than look to a leader to tell us what is "right or wrong."

In fact we don't look at life so much from a "right or wrong" perspective, but more from a "is this for the highest good of all" point of view. We offer a wide variety of meditations, classes & workshops on topics as diverse as Spirituality, Metaphysics, Numerology, Emotional Freedom Technique EFT, Spiritual Astrology, Hypnosis, Energy Healing, Reiki, Past Lives, psychic healing, mediumship, metaphysical interpretation of biblical stories, with other new age topics being added where there is interest.

Besides our workshops and classes, many in the community meet once a week on Sundays from 10:30 to 11:30 for guided meditation, music, and a thought provoking talk often based on metaphysical interpretations of the bible and other holy books from various religions, designed to inspire, and/or provoke new ways of looking at old ideas to open our hearts and minds while expanding our consciousness.

Coffee and treats abound after our gathering so we can hang around and chat with people we already know, and meet new people as they join in. Want to know more? Contact Sheila Johnson, Unity Community of Stockton, 209-466-5569.
