Sunday happy hours at Twiggs has become our monthly event! It's a great way to wrap up the week, meet new people, and think about all the good things to come. And, Twiggs has obligingly distributed attractive venues around the metro area. This month, we're at the location on Regal, where, weather permitting, we'll be on the deck overlooking the pond. Come along and bring another newcomer you've met lately. Or, come on your own and include yourself in our budding community. We're all learning to live in Spokane, adjusting to the culture, the climate, and the amenities while discovering good things we hadn't even anticipated. Come share your conundrums and new finds with people who know what it's like to be new in town. Since this is a restaurant location, please keep your RSVP current so we get the right size of table.
There's truly a nip in the air now, and it's time to find a warm place to gather with friends and make plans for the real winter to come. What better place than a Hibachi grill with a full bar and plenty of parking? Kobe Hibachi Sushi and Bar has grills on one side and sushi on the other with plenty of parking out front and easy access from north Division. This is a no-host dinner, and seating is quite limited so please keep your RSVP current. If you end up on the waitlist, know that I'll be following up with people on the "yes" list and you may get in if someone drops out. If you are a "yes" and not responding prior to the event, we may need to drop you so someone on the waitlist who is responsive can be included. Seating at this kind of restaurant is not as flexible as most. The entertainment is unique to the setting. Seating is right at the grill so come dressed for the temperature. Expect dinner to take an hour or two from seating to departure. Yelp review: https://www.yelp.com/biz/kobe-hibachi-sushi-and-bar-spokane?osq=hibachi
It's time for the monthly happy hour at Twiggs--downtown to provide an opportunity to see the newly decorated shops and streets and give the shoppers among us a bit of a break. The Riverplace mall downtown is a great place to shop and browse with plenty of parking and things to do after happy hour. If you're new, we're eager to meet you and help you settle in. If you're getting to feel almost like a settled resident--please come share what you've learned. We're eager to hear about the organizations that made you feel welcome, the mechanic that you recommend, and the neighborhood grocery or restaurant that you find yourself gravitating to over and over again. We'll share upcoming special events and help you get connected. Please take the time to keep your RSVP current.
