Welcome!

This group is for those struggling with codependency. If you've found yourself feeling trapped in a relationship that wasn't meeting your needs & wants, or you struggle with saying no, you might benefit from this group. If boundaries are hard for you or you find it difficult to express your thoughts & feelings honestly, fearing rejection, you might have some codependent tendencies. Codependency results when we look outside the self for our worth. It is a preoccupation with meeting the needs of others, living life according to what we believe someone else wants, leading to an abandonment of self.

This group is meant to encourage healthy, balanced relationships---with self first and then with others. This is a space for us to gain support and learn from each other through shared experience and insight. If this is the first time you've heard the word "codependency" but any of this resonates with you, please join us!

Recovery from codependency involves breaking through the depths of denial, discovering your needs and wants, defining personal boundaries, building self-esteem from within, learning assertiveness, taking care of yourself first, and living your own life.

"I used to spend so much time reacting and responding to everyone else that my life had no direction. Other people's lives, problems, and wants set the course for my life. Once I realized it was okay for me to think about and identify what I wanted, remarkable things began to take place in my life." - Melody Beattie
