Apache Sqoop Introduction, Development Update and Vision

The developers for Apache Sqoop, a top level apache project, will host an open meetup to share an overview; current status for development; and vision. Apache Sqoop is a tool designed for efficiently transferring bulk data between Apache Hadoop and structured data stores such as relational databases. The committee (some are traveling from Europe) is looking forward to meeting you and greatly values your participation. Presenters include Boglárka Egyed, Ferenc Szabó, Szabolcs Vasas and Alexey Filanovskiy.

The event is scheduled a day before the Strata Data Conference in San Jose to accommodate folks traveling from outside the bay area.

Lunch will be served at noon by our event sponsor, Progress DataDirect who serves on the JDBC Expert Group.
