Models: Please do not post Directly onto page, send me your details directly, I'm happy to take them. Fair warning: local models close to St Albans & Stevenage get priority, London travel via public transport will usually exclude you from my roster, Trestle is a fair distance from St Alban's station and causes expense and punctuality issues. So local based models and models able to travel by car within an acceptable petrol cost distance will get priority.

March Sunday Life drawing @ St Albans Trestle arts base. This month Jelena is coming back to model for us after some time away. Easels are available on request (Max.7), details below.
If you haven't been before, Trestle is one of the best venues you'll find for life drawing. Lots of space and good views. If you don't have supplies you can come and try without worry as basic drawing supplies are available ie. Charcoal and pencils.
The session will be in the theatre space at Trestle theatre, on your left as you walk in the main entrance, As mentioned there are basic supplies available but its best to use your own equipment and make the most of the time with supplies you are comfortable with. An A2 drawing board with paper is supplied with smooth newsprint and 2 pieces of cartridge paper. Newsprint is great with Charcoal so if you're a graphite pencil artist its best to bring a pad of good graphite sketching paper.
We have a limited supply of studio easel available on request by leaving a message below, first come first served. Please note that I don't supply paper bigger than A2, if you using an easel please consider bringing A1 paper. You can buy A1 Newsprint at Artscape in Harpenden or Turner Graphic arts > https://www.turnersart.co.uk or try https://www.jacksonsart.com/. Max easels 7.
The session will comprise of roughly 2 hours 30 to 2 hours 40 minutes of drawing, with a break for the model halfway through the session where we also take on some refreshment, tea and coffee supplied.
All experience levels are welcome, However this is a standard drop in life drawing session. I am on hand to help and give advice but it isn't a structured class. For absolute beginners I would advice seeking a structured course to start with before using these sessions to build on your studies.
