Join us and take a quick stroll through the how's and why's of 'Hadoop in the cloud'! Utilizing the cloud for your big data infrastructure can bring significant benefits. But, there are also some pitfalls that must be taken into consideration.

The sessions will cover the basic steps in involved in deploying a Hadoop environment in 'the cloud.' We'll discuss the benefits of creating templates to automate deployments and show how that actually works in practice. We'll demonstrate some of the benefits to remaining agile by using the flexibility of a cloud deployment for Hadoop in non-production (and potentially production) environments. We will also discuss in detail the performance, management, and financial issues that you should consider when deploying in this type of environment.
