Where are you from?

Cedar Hill, MO (south of st. louis)

What would you like to get out of STL Game Developers?

Mainly just to see how others develop. I've done everything on my own so far, learning php, html, css, javascript, visual basic, unity3d, and even some C#/XNA. It'd just be kind of nice to not be in the dark so much.

Briefly describe your ideal videogame.

Great "Balanced" gameplay, Great graphics. (Right now, Starcraft 2 is the best game I've found) If it doesn't have at least those two, then it's not worth making or playing.

Why did you join this group?

... Wasn't that asked above? ... *looks* "What would you like to get out of STL Game Developers?"... hmm.... I guess the same answer as above.

Cake or pie?

T___/\_/\_/\___T Can have both? (should also note, it depends on the pie and cake in question)

The "Unity" guy. (Self taught doer of a lot. Programming mostly though.)

What Randy is saying about this Meetup Group

It's been great fun and nice to be around people geek-ish about games like myself. I have a little concern with the last few meetings having a lot to do with where we are going, but the number of people coming to the meetings are increasing (was around 10-12 in Jan when I started, and now {august} there are around 30 people showing up). It also seems that a lot of the people are returning from month to month, which from what I've heard, is uncommon for meetups. Most people aren't professional game developers. They are hobbyist like myself, or students. There are a few people doing it professionally, such as Elonka, the General Manager of Online Community at Simutronics Corporation, and has been in the gaming industry for over 20 years. So, there is a wide range of skills. We are also getting artists, writers, and even some people willing to do voice acting. It's a great group so far, and I can't wait until I actually get to the point of showing something off and get peer review.
