Spark Streaming is an extension to Spark for doing large scale near-real-time stream processing. In this meetup, we will cover how Spark Streaming is different from other stream processing frameworks and do a code walk-through on a Spark Streaming application.

Adam Doyle is a Lead Application Developer at Mercy. He has given talks at Hadoop Summit, StampedeCon, HDWA, and HIMSS Big Data Summit. Adam is also one of the organizers for the St. Louis Hadoop User Group.
