Saturday Group Ride and Brunch
This is our ride and brunch. Join us for a ride, and stay for breakfast/brunch. Or just come to the breakfast/brunch :) Start Time: 7:30 Location: Ground Bistro Cafe (25 Apricot St, Stafford, VA 22554) https://goo.gl/maps/E1AgKYJKXkQ2 Please arrive early enough so we can start the ride on time. Bring safety gear. PACE and MILEAGE: All paces are welcome! We'll be doing an out and back route, so everyone will just turn around at the halfway point at Aquia Landing Park. Google says this is about 19 miles, and should take about 1.5 hours. But, you can ride any amount of time or mileage. And if you need to slow down, it's not a problem either, everyone needs to start somewhere! We will meet after the ride at Ground Bistro Cafe at 9:15am, and do a meet and greet.

What we're about

Stafford Triathlon Club, welcomes all athletes regardless of skill level. Everyone can expect to receive encouragement from fellow club members, and positivity is a must. I would like to have local group rides, fun runs, swims, and the occasional happy hour. I would like to build a laid back environment to meet new friends, keep us motivated to swim/bike/run, and have company when training for a race or to keep certain goals (fitness level, weight loss, fun). Lastly, our sense of community does not just encompass individual athletes, but we also seek to build strong community bonds.

There are plenty of groups out there for cyclist/runners (mainly in Northern Virginia/D.C.), but not much for the us here in Stafford. Let's start this fun journey together! The vast majority of the rides/runs are in the Stafford area, but we will venture out periodically to keep things interesting.

Our weekly rides are "no-drop" rides, and we will periodically wait for cyclist to catch-up. With our "long" rides being on Saturday mornings, and we will try to ride by time/distance.

Runs are always by time, not distance, so that we can all begin and end together. We will have weekly runs (see calendar), and the "long" runs are on Sunday mornings, but there's always an option on running for time as well.

Sometimes we grab a snack or coffee on those weekend morning rides/runs.

*I am new to the area, so please be patient, but I am sure we can make this a great Tri group together.*
