It has been a while since this group has had a MeetUp, but lots has been happening in Christchurch. Lightning Lab (http://www.lightninglab.co.nz/christchurch/), the digital accelerator programme, is currently happening in the new startup space GreenHouse (http://green-house.co.nz/) in the Innovation Precinct. Canterbury Angels (http://canterburyangels.nz/), the local Angel Investment network, has got off the ground, and lots more.

For this meetup we are lucky to have an international guest speaker, Nelson Gray, visiting from Scotland who is going to talk and answer questions around how equity crowdfunding is interacting with other forms of funding around the world, and what lessons are emerging for both investors and entrepreneurs.
