Jeremy Wyn-Harris is a co-founder and the CEO of Christchurch-based business Builderscrack.co.nz. Builderscrack was launched back in 2007 in response to his business partner’s need to find a good plumber. Builderscrack is a marketplace for homeowners to find the right tradesperson for any renovation or repair job in their home. This is achieved using some novel business processes and interesting technologies including machine learning. Jeremy manages a dedicated team of 11 people who have helped over 100,000 homeowners find great tradies. With over a quarter of a million jobs posted (around 6000 per month), Builderscrack is the leading trade marketplace in New Zealand. Builderscrack is proud to have been featured on shows like The Block and Our First Home.

Prior to this, Jeremy pioneered an ‘internet of things’ web camera which was developed in his mate's garage. The project took him to the US, UK, and finally to Sydney where production was set up, with the devices being sold in Australia and Singapore. Jeremy holds a number of NZ and US patents and has advised a handful of small technology companies

Come hear all about Jeremy's journey in the latest event in the Startup Christchurch Speaker Stories series. We will also be launching lots of additional content over the next few months - panel discussions, capability training, lunchtime sessions and more.
