The sharing economy has been reshaping lots of different industries since its inception. We have witnessed how transportation, accommodation, risk investments and so many others has been shifting their business models toward more "democratized" marketplaces.

Food industry couldn't be an exception. Deliveroo (https://deliveroo.es/es/) is the perfect example of how companies and end-users can leverage on collaboration to expand their businesses and/or accessing better/less expensive goods; sharing in the process at least one asset the whole business needs to operate.

A typical use case of this type of marketplaces: imagine you are in a hurry while diving onto your super busy day...you don't have time to waste going downstairs to grab a decent meal for lunch. Instead, you pick your phone up and think - what do I want to eat? - then dive into your app, screening several options (including you favorite restaurant 20 min away!) and decide to ask for a nice lunch from there which will arrive as early as possible. On the mean time, you can go back to your work with no hassle. Your meal will be there on time, at an affordable price and above all, without the tedious process of going downstairs and picking something around the corner.

This scenario is possible, mainly because all those nice restaurants can now share most of the fixed cost of delivering goods to your doorsteps. Don't get it wrong, you'll paid for it, but just for the tiny little fraction involved in delivering your lunch, but not all costs involved.

Come and expand the possibilities of your knowledge on Sharing Economy while talking to Diana Morato GM of Deliveroo-Spain and jump into the new way of delivering value.
