What we're about

Startup Grind is the world’s largest community of startups, founders, innovators, and creators. We bring like-minded yet diverse individuals together to connect, learn, teach, help, build, and belong. The global Startup Grind community is over 2,000,000 individuals strong, with a presence in over 125 countries with 600 city chapters worldwide.

Locally in Singapore, we organize regular events online and offline to help anyone passionate about entrepreneurship, and to offer ways to connect, learn, build and belong. Make sure to follow us on our social media channels to hear about our events!

We believe in making friends, not connections. We believe in giving more than you take. We believe in helping others before helping yourself. We are truly passionate about helping founders, entrepreneurs and startups succeed.

We're always looking to be connected with more individuals, whether they simply be attendees to our events, potential partners, sponsors, or new friends!

Food in the Future: AgTech, '30 by 30' and where we go after the pandemic

THIS IS A FREE EVENT - PLEASE FINISH YOUR RSVP IN THE LINK BELOW https://www.startupgrind.com/events/details/startup-grind-singapore-presents-food-in-the-future-agtech-30-by-30-and-where-we-go-after-the-pandemic/ AgTech was already one of the most talked about startup sectors before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, but the crisis is accelerating what was already seen as a major shift in food production, logistics and consumption trends. Singapore for instance, had already announced in 2019 its '30 by 30' strategy which aims for 30% of food needs to be locally produced by 2030 and was well on the path to transforming the industry to meet those targets before COVID-19 struck.  Around the world, the demand for plant based substitutes and meat alternatives is growing substantially each year, with a number of startups in the region and abroad capitalizing on this trend. With that growth, comes more demand for vegetables - both from consumers and companies. Couple this with the threat of climate change, growing population trends and urbanization and you have a confluence of events that have given rise to new businesses and companies changing the way we farm, source and consume our food.  So what exactly is it like being on the frontlines of this change? Join us on July 16th at 7:30pm SGT for a discussion with Andrew Shearer, Founder and CEO of Farmshelf; Stuart Oda, Founder and CEO of Alesca Life and Vikas Garg, Founder and CEO of abillionveg - leaders of three companies changing the way we grow, transport and consume vegetables and food all over the world.  Agenda --- Panelists Andrew Shearer - Farmshelf (Founder and CEO) Founder and CEO, Farmshelf Stuart Oda - Alesca Life (Founder and CEO) Founder and CEO, Alesca Life Vikas Garg - abillionveg (Founder and CEO) Vikas is the Founder and CEO of abillionveg, a rapidly growing global internet platform on a mission to help a billion people go vegan by 2030.
