Steve Melhuish (PropertyGuru)
Steve is an award-winning entrepreneur, who has spent the last two decades building profitable companies throughout Asia and Europe. He co-founded PropertyGuru.com.sg in 2006. Since then, he has developed the business into Asia’s leading online property group, with a presence in nine countries. Today, PropertyGuru Group’s portals are used by more than 16 million property seekers – every month!
Prior to PropertyGuru, Steve was the CEO of an Asian social network firm. Previously, he served as an advisor to digital media and venture capital firms and start-ups in Asia and Europe including Skype, AOL, Virgin Media, Vodafone, Extreme Media, iPass and Ariadne Capital. Steve also led global teams and a US$500 million turnover business unit for Cable & Wireless.
In 2007, Steve was awarded the Spirit of Enterprise Award, in recognition of his contributions to entrepreneurship in Singapore. He has also helped PropertyGuru secure many industry awards including Hitwise #1, CNBC World’s Best Property Portal, SVCA Best Performing VC Backed Firm, SiTF Best E-Enterprise and SiTF Best Mobile Application.
