2. THero and Brinc are bringing the “Are You China Ready?” global contest to 9 cities across the USA, Europe, and the Asia Pacific regions to see who has what it takes to make it in China! The contest hopes to boost entrepreneurship and innovation and facilitate the introduction of local startups from around the world to China. Out of scores of Israeli startups which have applied to the competition, and the additional dozens that will have applied by the 15-Sep deadline, ten will be selected to make headway to the semi-finals and pitch. At this special event, organized by the local Startup Grind chapter, a panel of judges will hear the pitches and select three startups which will win an all-expenses-paid (Visa, Flights & Hotels) trip to Guangzhou, China, exposure to Chinese government officials, local investors, and distribution partners, and hands-on training workshops with Brinc, before ultimately pitching at the finals to win a prize of $25,000.
