Work Jam + Networking
Working alone is no fun… Solution? Work Jam! Get things done and meet like-minded people in a session of working together. Our Work Jams are a combination of physical gatherings with virtual sessions. Join our Telegram group to connect with a global Work Jam community from anywhere you're planning to work. https://t.me/workjams Why? Working together is proved to boost productivity. It will create the accountability as you will declare your goals and results for each session. Also, meeting new people face to face while working together will connect you to potential team members, clients and friends. It's a powerful mix of focused work with networking in short breaks. How to prepare? Bring either a laptop, iPad, notebook or whatever you need to complete your tasks. If you arrive first, please write a comment below about where you're sitting and how to identify you (e.g. shirt color). If you don't see a comment, you are the first person, so post one. What will happen? We'll start with introductions and networking (first 30 min). Then we'll "go to work" for 90 min. And then, another round of networking (30 min). After 2 hours 30 min, you may continue the cycle with even more work until the last person gives up :) How we'll work We'll follow "Pomodoro Technique", which is a popular time management and productivity method. The StartupBlink team will start the “pomodoro timer” to indicate work and break times. The work timer will run for 25 minutes, after which we will have a 5-minute break (also timed). This short break is your time to relax, chat with other people, and set a goal for the next 25-minute work session (remember to share your goal on the Telegram channel). We'll go back to work once the 5-minute break ends. We will repeat this routine 3 times, before the next networking break, i.e. 3x (25min+5min)=90 min What if nobody else shows up? Firstly, check the comments below, maybe you just can't find each other? If you don't see a comment, you're probably the first to arrive so let others know how to identify you (e.g. shirt color). Secondly, we've got you covered anyway, even if nobody else joins you or if you stay at home. The fun part about our Work Jams is that they happen in other cities at the same time so you can be a part of a global community. Join our Telegram channel to connect with other people. https://t.me/workjams What's next? Join us at the next Work Jam, they are free for now. Also, if you enjoyed the productivity boost from working together and meeting new people consider joining a coworking space! StartupBlink partner, WeWork, is offering the members of this group a special discount of up to 15%. You can apply using this link (https://wework.startupblink.com/)
